Panaxadiol inhibits Ca2+ channels, decreasing channel open time and open state probability in vitro and displaying anti-arrhythmic potential. This compound also increases superoxide dismutase activity and decreases malondialdehyde levels, improving cardiac function in animal models of burn injury.
