This compound decreases tumor growth, VEGF expression, and angiogenesis in animal models of hepatocellular carcinoma and prevents initial development of tumors in animal models of prostate cancer. In hypertensive rates, 2-methoxyestradiol decreases mean arterial blood pressure.
