Protopanaxatriol prevents breakdown of vitamin D3 and inhibits GABA-A and GABA-C receptors as well as slow-activating delayed rectifier K+ channels. Protopanaxatriol also stimulates production of eNOS and NO, increasing vascular relaxation and decreasing blood pressure.
